Newman Theological College

Newman Theological College is a Roman Catholic School of Theology committed to theological education and missionary discipleship. The college prepares laity, religious, and ordained ministers for Christian service and leadership in Western Canada and beyond.

An opportunity exists for a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as the Director of the Benedict XVI Institute. The Benedict XVI Institute, housed within NTC, aims to serve the New Evangelization by developing and offering innovative programs in faith formation and catechesis. The successful applicant will serve as a key member of our senior leadership team with responsibility for the oversight, evaluation and development of all programs and program directors within the institute.

A collaborative leadership style in the Catholic context is highly desired, together with strong communication and proven organizational skills. In addition, the Director will possess a graduate degree in theology, catechesis or a related discipline and have a sound understanding of the Catholic intellectual tradition. A solid understanding of technology and on-line instruction is a definite asset.

Volunteer Groundskeepers

The Catholic Campus is in need of volunteers to help maintain the grounds on our 23 acre property located along 84th street between 101st and 98th Avenue. Your commitment would include:

  • Watering and weeding of flower beds
  • Pruning shrubs and small branches
  • Collecting and Disposal of any refuse, small branches/twigs, weeds
  • Raking excess grass clipping and leaves

In return you get:

  • Increased satisfaction in your life by participating in the beautification of the grounds surrounding St. Joseph Seminary, Newman Theological College, the Pastoral and Administration Office and Villa Vianney (priest’s retirement home).
